Gerhard is from Austria but after meeting on a cruise ship he came to join his wife Claire in Brentford in 1998. Claire was born and raised in Brentford and after 10 years of using the griffin as their local pub they decided to take a leap and take over from the legendary Ralf & Sue.
Brentford FC’s Griffin Park was widely know to be the only stadium in the whole football league that had a pub on each corner. Now the Griffin is a proud reminder of this once historic ground and the community that it brings together.
